With a wide selection of sensor options available, the instrument can be configured to measure a variety of toxic and special gases including carbon dioxide (CO₂), chlorine (Cl₂), hydrogen cyanide (HCN), ammonia (NH₃), phosphine (PH₃), ozone (O₃), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), phosgene (COCl₂) and organic vapours.

Unlike disposable gas monitors, the Dräger Pac 8000 is designed for long-term service with replaceable filters, sensors and batteries, making it a cost-effective solution for organisations requiring dependable personal gas detection.
