In 2012, IM&M Ltd first searched for opportunities to recycle empty gas canisters in an effort to reduce landfill wastage.
IM&M Ltd has since sent empty gas canisters to be vented by APM metals, who are then able to recycle the canisters for a number of uses. The proceeds of the recycled gas canisters are then donated to Demelza House Children’s Hospice. Demelza House Children's Hospice is a specialist charitry which provides care and support for children and parents in Kent, East Sussex and South East London.
Supporting community projects and charities such as the Demelza House Children’s Hospice is a key aspect of IM&M’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Sustainability encompasses supporting communities; ensuring revenues are healthy and reducing environmental impact.
